Michael Kazouris has been appointed as a Process Server for Hillsborough County and the Pinellas and Pasco Sheriffs’ Offices in Florida since 2010.  In simple terms, a process server is usually a sheriff or a appointed individual who serves various legal documents including writs, and subpoenas.  

 The service of due process is a privilege established by the U.S. Constitution, which ensures that all citizens of the U.S. hold the right to be informed of their summons as established by the Fifth and Sixth Amendments.  Process servers were originally intended to act as a messenger system which was charged with serving individuals, through due process of law, notice of the legal issue which they are involved in.  As cities grew larger in the country, the local sheriff of the county was no longer able to handle the work load, and the job of process server came about.

Michael Kazouris: U.S. Security Associates

In 2009, Michael Kazouris worked for U.S. Security Associates. As the loss prevention specialist for the company, he worked to control the inventory of the store through plainclothes surveillance. He used his experience as a public safety officer to detain individuals suspected of shoplifting. He was required to write incident reports on a daily basis while collaborating with store managers and law enforcement.

Michael Kazouris is a process server and private investigator appointed by the Pinellas and Pasco Sheriff’s Offices and the Chief Judicial Judge of Hillsborough County in Florida. In 2001, he enrolled at Florida Metropolitan University where he completed courses in public safety. The information he learned during the courses was used in his position as a public safety officer.
